Bosch / Denso Upper O-Ring Retainer Installation Tool

Replacing the upper O-ring retainer on certain Bosch and Denso fuel injectors can be difficult without the correct tooling. These retainers are designed to snap over the injector inlet area and can be easily damaged if forced into place improperly.

This two-piece installation tool is designed to make that process controlled and repeatable.

The set includes a tapered locator and installation die. The locator centers in the injector fuel inlet and gradually expands the new plastic retainer as it is pressed downward. The installation die slides over the locator and provides a flat, stable surface for pressing the retainer into its final position.

The tool is intended for use when the original upper O-ring retainer is broken, missing, or being replaced during injector service.

Important: The injector inlet filter must be removed before using the locator tool. Keep the installation die reasonably straight while pressing and use smooth, steady pressure. Excessive force should not be necessary.
